An on arrival visa is issued after verifying the authenticity of the purpose of travel such as government duties, business/trade, investment and potential investors and tourism.

The issuance of a visa on arrival depends entirely on the satisfaction of the immigration officers at the port of entry (e.g. airport, land port, etc.) after checking all relevant documents.

Foreign nationals of Bangladeshi origin, their spouses and their children may also be granted visas on arrival based on proof of Bangladeshi origin.
